Phoveo got MARRIED.

We're back from our very relaxing honeymoon....NOT. I mean we ARE back, but it was actually the opposite of relaxing since we backpacked around Europe hitting up France, Switzerland and Italy. We are currently obsessed with Colmar, France because it looks like THIS:

SEE?! It's like straight out of a fairytale ya'll. We will be posting more pictures from each stop in very near future blog posts, so be on the lookout, but Colmar was too awesome not to show at least ONE picture from. ALSO, we took the steepest cogwheel railway IN THE WORLD up to the top of Mt. Pilatus in Switzerland! More pictures to come.

You heard right - we're finalists in the Photographer's Forum Magazine's Photography contest and this is the picture that did it!

Tokyo, Japan (Asakusa)

This picture was taken in Tokyo, Japan in the Asakusa district. It is part of the Sensoji Temple grounds and was my all-time favorite structure in Tokyo! I scoped this building out from my first day in Japan and waited until the sky was perfect one night and timing was right and my camera and I SPRINTED back over to Asakusa to set up the shot (and since my tripod had been stolen in Peru), this picture was taken by putting my camera on a garbage can for stabilization. Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do people.

I wanted to post a quick preview of one of Phoveo's latest photoshoots, which just so happened to be the lovely Pudenz family. How can I pick a favorite with this adorable family! We have had the privilege to capture this growing family for a few years now, and we can't wait to watch Little Miss Abrianna and Handsome Mr. Joey as they grow up!

Not only will Jake and I be Aunt/Uncle in a few short weeks to ONE baby (my sister's), but Jake's sister Amy is due in a few weeks AS WELL!! We are so excited to meet these little ones and despite a very hot day in Oklahoma City, we were able to do a maternity session for Amy and Michael as well. We had a great time and they look great, it was also very fitting that we did the photo shoot at the Civic Center Music Hall since both Amy and Michael are professional trumpet players! We can't wait to meet little miss Eliza Jane!!!

Jake and I are both going to be Uncle and Aunt in July!! We are beyond excited for both of our sisters and what are the ODDS both of our only siblings are due in THE SAME MONTH WITH THEIR FIRST KID?! 

I was lucky enough to have a maternity shoot with my sister before she has my niece/nephew (oh yeah... and her kid). I do have to say she sets the family standard pretty high for looking SO GOOD all while being 8 months pregs. There will be oh-so-many photo-shoots of babies coming up in the near future. SO GET READY.
